Go for a small rug!

Rugs come, as many people probably know, in countless shapes and sizes. Yet in practice, we tend to use the standard sizes 160x230 cm rug and 200x290 cm most, and particularly under the coffee table and the sofa. This is how we've been doing it for years and it still seems to be the starting point. However, we're seeing a change in this. Rugs are increasingly used in other places in the home, such as under the dining table and in the bedroom. But also in places where you might not initially place a rug: that one small hallway, that narrow corridor or 'empty' corner in the bedroom. We therefore see small rugs appearing more and more. Below you'll read about different uses for such a small rug.

Small rug in the bedroom

Where small rugs are particularly handy is in the bedroom. A rug creates much warmth and cosiness. And this is precisely the most important characteristic of a bedroom. Not everyone has a huge bedroom with room for a large rug. And sometimes that's not even attractive. Small rugs can be a good solution in that case! Place the small rug next to your bed, in front of that beautiful long mirror or even in front of your wardrobe. Success guaranteed! Who doesn't love stepping out of bed in the morning with their feet on a lovely soft small rug?! However you use small rugs: you're guaranteed a hip item with which you can go in any direction!

Small rugs for the hallway

The hallway is a sore point for many people, because it can be difficult to style this relatively narrow space. When you think of small rugs for the hallway, you usually think of long, narrow examples: runners. These fill the space nicely and make the hallway appear longer. But some spaces are better served by a small rug. For example, in a square entrance hall, or to place right in front of a staircase. Not only does this look super stylish, but it also prevents slips on smooth floors, provided an anti-slip rug is used. If you have a space where even standard small rugs don't fit the right size, it's possible to have a custom-made rug.

Small rug

Not only in narrow corners and gaps can a small rug be suitable. Increasingly, people are choosing to simply use small rugs in the living room. This can certainly be nice if you have a relatively small space, or if the rest of your interior is already quite present. A small rug can also serve perfectly as a sort of 'tray' for an armchair or under a desk. However you use small rugs: you're guaranteed a hip item with which you can go in any direction!
